Interview Magazine
Ashley Greene is absolutely everywhere right now. Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition, public service announcements . . . you get the idea.
Back in December, it was announced that Greene (alongside The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse co-star Robert Pattinson) was chosen as one of Interview Magazine's "Most Beautiful People of the Decade." Greene was also featured in the magazine's "Vampires and Vixens" fashion spotlight in November for her New Moon premiere attire.

Now, Greene is featured once more for the publication, only this time she's being interviewed by New Moon co-star Michael Sheen. Having celebrity-on-celebrity interviews is the trade and game of Interview Magazine (and you might recall that in Kristen Stewart's feature in the magazine, she was interviewed by Dennis Hopper).
In Greene's interview with Sheen, they talked about her early start in the film industry. "I went to a public high school with a magnet program for law and psychology. But right before my junior year, I decided that I wanted to leave and become an actress, so I graduated early and moved out to L.A. Now that I’m here, I can’t imagine living there," Greene revealed, when asked about her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.

"It was more frightening for my mother and father than it was for me. I have a certain way of thinking where I see something, and I know that I want it and I make up my mind—and that’s pretty much all there is to it. It was like, This is what I want to do, and I’m going, and everything’s going to work out. I’m going to be an actress"
It wasn't all sunshine and roses, though, she continued. "I did struggle. I definitely struggled." "I came out to L.A. all set up, and then I did extremely well in my first audition, so I had this kind of false hope in my mind. You know, everyone says it’s really hard, but then you come out and do extremely well the first go. And then reality hits, and it’s like nothing, nothing, nothing for a long time."

In addition, Greene talked about how "Alice Cullen" was and continues to be a game-changing role for her. "I was working at a restaurant, I booked the role in Twilight, put in my two weeks’ notice, got fitted, flew to Portland, filmed, and then it started getting hype. That helped me get my foot into certain doors before the movie even came out. I did fourindependent films during the break between Twilight [2008] and New Moon. I haven’t even really had time to sit back and process it all. But when you do finallysit back and think about it, it’s incredible."

The two continued on to discuss everything from Greene's perception of the on-set Twilight series atmosphere to the work she's got coming out in the near future. What makes the interview most interesting to read is that Michael Sheen and Ashley Greene are both part and parcel of the Twilight phenomenon now, so his questions and her comfort in responding is completely evident in the feature.
