Hey Everyone,
Heres an article I found. Shows that even stars have regular duties too.
Heres an article I found. Shows that even stars have regular duties too.
According to People, the Twilight star recently served on a Los Angeles jury in a three-day trial during which a security guard reportedly asked to take a picture with Kristen. She agreed, but when the photo was posted on the Internet, it put the security guard in danger of losing his job.
Why was Kristen even in the courtroom in the first place? Well, when people are accused of a crime, they are entitled to a trial in front of a jury of peers. This group of peers is made up of American citizens over the age of 18, who are required to perform this service on occasion.
Although Kristen is a celebrity, she is still a member of the community and was selected as a juror. So what's the problem? According to the L.A. Superior Court, the use of cameras inside the courtroom is prohibited -- you're not allowed to take photos at all.
As for what went down, a court spokeswoman told People that the court doesn't comment on jurors, and Kristen's rep had no comment.
