Go Peter!!

You may know Peter Facinelli as a human-oriented philanthropist (what with his prolific involvement with Alex's Lemonade and others), but in his recent interview with Kidsday, Facinelli expressed a dire concern over the impact that human beings are having upon the planet.
We need to clean up the Earth. And quickly! As a father of three, I worry that we are leaving them a world of problems. From climate issues to pollution to water shortages. As a species, something must be done and I feel like you're never too young to start. The first step is being conscious. Be aware of recycling, food wasting, and how much water you waste when you brush your teeth. It seems silly, because you think you're just one person. But if each person did a little something we can change the world.
Well said. Most environmental organizations would contend that Facinelli's point - that each and every person can and should play a part in shifting human treatment of the environment - is absolutely correct.
Of course, when events such as the BP oil spill occur, it's easy to feel helpless. Still, one portion of the eco-friendly mission contributes to removing ourselves from oil dependence (part of the causality of the spill, to be sure): "reduce."
