It seems that Dakota Fanning ("Jane" in the Twilight series) won't be helming If I Stay after all.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Fanning has dropped from the picture so that she can finish her senior year of high school without any leading roles to worry about.
Of course, she's still going to appear in Breaking Dawn, "and may shoot a smaller independent movie . . .[b]ut she will not take on any significant roles until after she graduates this spring."
As we saw a few weeks ago when Fanning won Homecoming Queen at her high school again, she's definitely got a life outside of filmmaking - being a normal teenage kid.
And, according to her sister Elle Fanning's latest interview with Interview Magazine, being a normal kid also entails sharing a bathroom and clothes with her little sister.
"We're sort of the same size. I'm taller than her, though . . . She does not like that at all. . . . She probably doesn't like me wearing her clothes either, but we do still share. I sneak into her closet and grab things out and put them on. She's a senior, so she's going to college soon. But we share a bathroom".You can read the rest here.
Fanning was spotted at the airport this morning heading out of LAX. Perhaps she was heading to Baton Rouge for her work on Breaking Dawn, since the other "Volturi" actors are there, and one of them - Charlie Bewley ("Demetri") - tweeted, "WE ARE ONE... minus the token female."
