As of now until the end of March, Weitz will be donating $1 for each tweet he sends to the Red Cross for Japan relief efforts.
He's already donated $1,500 toward Japanese aide as a mini-contest prize (for a clever haiku submission) via Twitter, and he's been spending an awful lot of his time communicating with his fans on the social networking site on a range of subjects, especially Twilight and A Better Life, his new, forthcoming film due June 24th.
