Kristen Photoshoot for Vogue Italy (Interview & Outtakes)

(On her parents working in the industry) "Both my parents work in film and television, they used to bring me with them at work, where I saw people of every age acting, even children: I immediately understood that I wanted to do it too."

(On why she likes to joke on set) "There's a lot of free time, I have to enjoy myself somehow!"

(On where she'd like to land if Captain Kirk could take her back in time) "Around 1948, 1950, so I could listen the beat generation's bebop, blues and jazz."

(On her Snow White) "Yes, but it's a very original Snow White, a warrior who even wears an armour!"

(On the beach scene she shot for SWATH) "Oh yes, that's the scene that sees me finally free after my escape from the Evil Queen. I love that dress, it's gorgeous! Wearing it helped me to get into character. The weight of the wet fabric, for example, helped me to understand the troubles Snow White has to face to escape from her destiny. The hair is also fundamental for this role. These are extensions, my hair is shorter, it reaches my shoulders, more or less. The color isn't mine either. Since I've been acting, I've never had my natural haircolor, which is light brown. But it's okay, it's fun to see yourself differently when you look in the mirror."

(On what kind of clothes she wear) "I'd love to wear very feminine clothes, but then, in the everyday life, when I'm in Los Angeles, at home, I'd rather be comfortable. Whereas, when I'm away, like in this case, I pack all kinds of clothes, for the evening as well, because I think that maybe I'll get a chance to wear them."

(On how long it takes her to pack) "I'm really organised. I just have to open my wardrobe and choose. But you see, even if I bring lots of clothes with me, it always ends up like this: tank top, jeans and sneakers."

(On doing exercise and staying fit) "I'm naturally skinny. We're all like this in my family, so I don't have to exercise a lot or go on a diet. I do all the exercise I need on set. Right now, for example, to play Snow White I never stop: I run, jump, fight with swords, horseride... I do all kinds of stuff! You see, I've even injured myself! But it's nothing serious."

(On her energy on set) "It's true, I don't lack the enthusiasm. If there's something to do, I say: 'Come on, what are we waiting for? Let's do it!' Because I'm eager to start. This way of doing things helps me to always keep a high energy. I like going for new projects."

(On her upcoming projects) "Right now, there's nothing certain. I'll take the chance to go back home, to my family, and enjoy some free time. This, right now, it's my ideal holiday. I travelled around the world for my job, often whitout even realising where I was. I like travelling, but right now, I need to recharge my batteries."

(On what kind of actress she is) "I'm not one of those actresses that maniacally prepare themselves for a role. On set, I do whatever I need to do, but day after the day. If I have to improvise, I improvise, if I have to learn my lines by heart, I do it. There are certain screenplays which are so beautiful, that they only need to be repeated as they are, without any changes. I live in the moment."

(On why she loves her job) "Why worrying before a job? I love my job and I want to fully enjoy it. I love it, I'll never stop saying that. Seen from the outside it may seem like a fairytale, and maybe it is; but there's a lot of commitment behind it and even a few sacrifices. I, for example, love to sleep, but every morning I have to get up really early to go on set. I win over my laziness, I get up and I happily go to work. The important thing is to keep in mind that acting is like any other job. A job that gives you the chance to keep reinventing yourself, living new emotions and expressing yourself, but that doesn't really make you different or special. Anyway, I know I'm lucky, because what happens when you're acting, it's extraordinary. Sometimes you're so deeply taken by your character or the story, that you almost risk to lose yourself. It happened to me when I shot "Speak". I played an introverted girl that decides not to speak to anyone, ever again. Her silence it's how she defends herself from other people: her schoolmates, her teachers, her family even herself. At the end, it was hard to leave that comfortable silence I had created for myself. With silence you get peace and even your thoughts are more organised, it's extraordinary and really hard to explain. I lived an interesting experience with "On the Road" as well, where I play Marylou: I explored the freedom of actually living "on the road", mentally and physically. That's what I'm talking about, it's the magic of acting."

(On what kind of wish she'd make, given the opportunity) "Oh God, don't ask me about wishes! When I'm in front of a birthday cake, with all the lit candles, and everyone reminds me to make a wish, I just blackout. I think: what do I wish for?, and nothing ever comes to my mind. Then I close my eyes, take a deep breath and the wish comes out. I don't really know how to explain what happens inside of me, but that's what happens: breathing is the key to understand what I really care about."

(On whether she has any wish for her job) "I have everything I could wish for. I receive lots of job offers, job offers that are often interesting. Really, I don't know what I could wish for... I don't even have a particular role I'd like to play or a director I'd like to work with. I just let things happen."

She’s also sticking to her resolve in staying under the radar about that likely-but-never-confirmed-nor-denied-relationship with Robert Pattinson. With gossip columinsts alternately reporting that they are together, aren’t together, have broken up, are back together, does she never feel like just going on the record about how it really is? Apparenlty not. ‘It’s funny when this question comes up because I sort of feel like I don’t really care!’ she says looking like she truly doesn’t. ‘Peple can say whatever they want …’ She trails off, tehn adds, ‘[The interest] is totally understandable, but when it’s personal to you, it’s like your life becomes a product, and I’m repelled by that. I don’t like to give away gems that people are gonna be like ‘Oh my God!’ So I’ll always just shrug it off- In fact, I always find it kind of funny, and not just with Rob.”

‘There are two big sex scenes in teh two [final] films, and we did them fairly early. It was so weird, it didn’t even feel like we were doing a scene withing a Twilight film. I was like, ‘bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!’ It was surreal. We [originally] got rated R [restricted under-17s]. They recut it.’ Does she realise, I say with a raised eybrow, that people would pay good money to see the original, R-rated version of that sex scene? ‘It was tame!’she insists, adding. ‘I’ve done my share ofcoming-of-age movies, but they [the rating boards] know who our audience is, and can be like, ‘Hmm guys, just cool it a little.” It’s funny because in the book, you don’t see anything. It’s everyone’s imagination, so it’s entirely subjective. I hope it’s good!’

Talking about wearing a bikini in the movie: ‘Then, when I was doing prep for Breaking Dawn, i suddenly realised, ‘This is so not On The Road. people definitely want to see you looking trim.’ Usually, we’re all making fun of Taylor [Lautner] for working out so often, and then suddenly me and Rob were like, ‘Shit,’ and were running around the block while Taylor laughed at us.’
Speaking of her co-star ripped physique, did she know her last three films feature six of Glamour’s top 50 sexiest men ,namely Rob, Taylor, Kellan Lutz and Jamie Campbell in Breaking Dawn, Garrett Hedlund in On The Road and Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman? Is that just good luck, or some astute film choices? She starts laughing again, and it transpires that such polls provides endless on-set ammo. ‘The first time Rob was the ‘sexiest man in the world’, a couple of years ago, it was teh biggest joke in the world. We never stopped taking the piss, and neither did he. [But] they’er all great guys and not … geez, now I sound like I’m generalising about attractive men, but there’s something a little vain about working out every single day, whereas they’re the greatest guys and all kind of goofy. That’s why it’s so funny.’

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will leave their mark on the legendary Hollywood landmark during a Nov. 3 ceremony.

With one epic teen romance, actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner have landed among Hollywood’s elite.The trio will have their hand and footprints immortalized in the cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Nov. 3, just weeks prior to the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Since its 1928 inception, only a select 250-plus recipients have been invited to partake in the celebrated ceremony, making it one of the most prestigious honors in Hollywood.Attracting as many visitors as the Taj Mahal and the Prado Museum, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre draws four million people each year, ranking among the world’s most photographed tourist sites. Fans across the globe can watch via livestream as Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner make their mark on the Hollywood Blvd forecourt during the Nov. 3 ceremony at 10 am PT.

Kristen Stewart talks Rob and fans in interview with GQ UK Plus magazine scans

'morning everyone! here's the latest update of Kristen Stewart's GQ magazine interview, thanks to @RPlife for the tip.

There's no doubt that the young woman sitting across from me, sipping a beer quietly, with the smoke from her cigarette trailing up into the tress, is somewhat transformed from the teenage girl who set out a little naively (her words) on this whole joinery more than four years ago. Lessons have been learnt. "The main moment, when we knew it was going to be a big deal, was at Comic-Con in Sand Diego in 2008. It was the first piece of promotion for Twilight that any of us had done, so we had no real expectations. There were thousands and thousands of people waiting for us. That was the moment when we felt how powerful this thing was going to be. It was me, Rob [Pattinson], Ashley Greene, Taylor [Lautner], and we just looked at each other and were like, 'What the hell is going on'" All their hopes (and fears) were soon to be realized. Twilight was destined to become a full-blown trans-global youth culturequake and Kristen, along with British-born Pattinson, the main stars at the centre of the maelstrom, not least due to the are-they/aren't-they off-camera relationship rumours. The momentum ignited by the huge fanbase was soon plundered by those at the top of Summit Entertainment, the company at the helm of the cinematic adaptation. Nothing gets movie executives foamier around the mouth than the prospect of cashing in on the young, easily influenced and truly obsessed. Or, as the most ardent fans of Pattinson are known amid the darker recesses of the internet, the "Robsessed". "From that moment on, the guys from the studio were walking around with dollar signs in their eyes. Like, kerching! And then it began. The insanity. The schedules. The demands. The interviews." Snow White and the Huntsman is filming in and around Gloucestershire, although Kristen is spending a good deal of time in a rental in Notting Hill, London. The day before, while at the GQ shoot, she had explained that she was looking forward to seeing more of the UK, as “my boyfriend is English”, although when I bring this up again the blood drains into her boots. “I never would have said that if I knew you were going to be interviewing me.” I honestly hadn’t expected such a defensive reaction, but it’s clear when she feels her privacy is being breached, Kristen is quick to transform into “Tiger Mom”. The whole issue, if you don’t already know, has to do with whether or not she’s dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, the subject of which has seen more speculation than the origin of Barack Obama’s birth certificate. I tell her I’m surprised this is such an issue seeing as the evidence is already out there for all to see on the web - the photos, the stolen moments, the Christmas getaways... “Yeah, I know it is,” she admits. “So much of my life is so easily googled. I mean, it’s like, come on guys, it’s so obvious!” Her mood tights, perhaps all too aware of how much she’s already said. “But this subject, I don’t think you realise what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. They would be ‘Oh. My. God’ There would also be still a 50/50 split. Some people would still be, ‘See, told you they’re not together.” Kristen is acutely aware of all the gossipmongers. Far more so than I am, it seems. She knows about names: the “Robstens” (those who think K-Stew” and R-Patz” are together); the “Nonstens” (those fans who think they aren’t) and the “F***stens” (those who say they don’t give a monkey’s either way - but actually really do). I ask her who it is such a big deal to? These deranged fans? To her and Rob? What is it she’s so worried about? "I don't worry about it at all. It's just one of those things. I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me."
