Peter Facinelli Hooks Up With Fantapper to Fight Cancer

Actor Peter Facinelli, star of THE TWILIGHT SAGA and “Nurse Jackie,” has launched a new effort to raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer through an online experience. With the help of Fantapper, Peter has invited fans to submit photos for a special vampire treatment which they can share digitally with their friends. Once the campaign reaches two million viewers, the Southern California Foundation will make a $50,000 donation to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

A longtime supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ASLF), Facinelli hopes to bring new awareness to the organization while engaging with fans through Fantapper.

“Fans can support ALSF without spending a dime – and have some fun in the process,” said Facinelli. “Fantapper gives me a way to connect with people directly and share the things I’m passionate about – like supporting kids and families struggling with childhood cancer. And who wouldn’t want to be turned into a vampire for a great cause?”

People can email their photos to peter@fantapper.com and watch for the results by downloading Peter’s free Fantapper app at www.ifiwereavampire.com.

“We have been so thrilled to have the continuing support of Peter Facinelli in the battle against childhood cancer,” said Liz Scott, Alex’s mom. “We are hopeful that Peter’s fans – and everyone interested in supporting kids facing childhood cancer – will participate and share #ifiwereaVampire with their friends and family. We think the Fantapper campaign is a win-win opportunity to support our efforts.”

November 29, 2010 - While online today shopping for presents, head tohttp://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/68221 to donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and possibly win some Twilight "presents" for yourself! Teams Edward, Cullen, Jacob, Bella, and Wolfpack are represented in the Twilight raffle prize packages.  Autographed items up for grabs include items signed by Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Ashley, Greene, Alex Meraz, Chaske Spencer, Kiowa Gordon. Please also note that Non-Cullen related Twilight packages have less tickets submitted for them than Team Cullen and Team Edward packages.  Also, Peter Facinelli autographed items have been the hottest for autograph ticket submissions, but all other autographed items (including the ones signed by Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) have very few tickets, and some have no tickets, submitted for them.

October 25, 2010 - Actor Peter Facinelli, currently seen in The Twilight Saga movies as Dr. Carlisle Cullen and Showtime’s Nurse Jackie as Dr. Fitch Cooper, has made many personal appearances, making himself accessible to thousands of fans in the last year. A vocal supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF), he uses these appearances to raise awareness and money for this cause.

Meet Peter Facinelli in Henderson, Nevada on October 11th

Alright all you lucky people who reside in or near Nevada, here is your lucky chance to meet Peter Facinelli where he will be taking photos and signing autographs for one of his favorite charities, Alex’s Lemonade.

The Twilight Examiner reports the following info:

Facinelli will be appearing at 12:00 p.m. in Nevada at the Galleria at Sunset this October 11th. Autograohs and 8×10 photographs with him are available for $25.00 and $40.00 respectively. Of course, a portion of the proceeds will again benefit Alex’s Lemonade, who Facinelli began supporting after, he said he “read the story” and then saw that the foundation was “a great way to have fun and do some good.”
