Ashley Greene Will Be Honored With a Spotlight Initiative Award at TIFF

Ashley Greene will be honored with a ‘Spotlight Initiative Award’ from The Creative Coalition nextmonth at the Toronto International Film Festival! Read below for more info

The Creative Coalition is pleased to announce that Ashley Greene (Butter, Skateland), Anna Kendrick (50/50, Up in the Air), David Paymer (Twixt, The American President), Morgan Spurlock (Comic Con: Episode IV – A Fan’s Hope, Super Size Me) and Roland Emmerich (Anonymous, 2012) have been named as honorees for the 2011 Spotlight Initiative Awards. The awards will be bestowed to honorees during the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.

The dinner honoring this year’s recipients will be attended by influential players from the arenas of art and entertainment and takes place on Saturday evening, September 10th at the Roosevelt Room.

Representing all aspects from the world of independent filmmaking, the 2011 class of honorees embodies the tenets of The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative. The Spotlight Initiative was created in 2008 to support independent films with messages that make a positive difference in the world and celebrate the art and craft of filmmaking for their social relevance.

The Creative Coalition CEO, Robin Bronk said, “The range of work from this year’s honorees is a true testament to why we created the Spotlight Initiative Award. Actors and filmmakers are under no obligation to use film as a venue to educate audiences on social issues, but our 2011 class of recipients has done a masterful job in doing so throughout their respective careers.”

From Lisa Eldridge: For UK Glamour Magazines 10th Birthday issue (can’t quite believe its been 10 years!) I was asked to make-up super cute American actress Anna Kendrick for their fabulous ‘An American in Paris’ shoot. We were all excited by the prospect of photographing the ‘Twilight’ and ‘Up InThe Air’ star in some of the most famous cafes, shops, streets and landmarks only to discover the forecast was for freezing temperatures, wind and rain! As predicted the first day was made difficult by torrential rain and freezing winds but luckily Anna was a complete trouper and an absolute delight.

Thankfully the second day was much drier in the afternoon so we managed to get most of the outdoor shots done. The mainstay of the make-up for all the shots were cute, flirty eyelashes and kitten flick liner. I changed the lips and cheeks depending on the mood of the photo and the outfit Anna was wearing. The lip colour went from nude to baby pink to bright rosy pink to full-on red!

Anna and I sneaked into Annick Goutals boutique in-between shots to try out all the delicious scents (and escape from the cold!). Smart and funny, she made the shoot a great one for all of us.

Anna Kendrick’s ‘Live with It’ to be rated R

Live with It, previously called I’m with Cancer, the cancer dramedy that will star Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, has apparently been given an MPAA rating of R.

The MPAA’s report also included a rating for an untitled comedy from Summit Distribution, LLC. Assuming that means Summit Entertainment, this untitled comedy is likely Live With It, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen. The movie received an R rating for “language throughout, sexual content and some drug use” and is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2011.
