Here is a news wrap about Twilight series soundtrack.

There have been a few fantastic updates in the way of Twilight series soundtrack musicians.

For starters, Twilight soundtrack co-contributor ("Let Me Sign" co-writer) Bobby Long recently played his music (song title: "Penance Fire Blues") on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The video from that performance is attached in the sidebar. Long has been receiving a lot of attention for the release of his first proper album, A Winter's Tale, including a write-up in the Wall Street Journal. You can find out more about what Bobby Long has going on here

Next up, Cee-Lo Green ("What Part of Forever" on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's official soundtrack) will be performing at the Grammys. Green is nominated in several categories for his controversial (but awesome) title "F--- You." Gwenyth Paltrow will be performing with him. In January, he went on SNL during her show, and she also took his song to Glee. Note: For widespread purposes, it's called "Forget You." Videos from both of those are below.

Also appearing at the Grammys will be Muse (responsible for Twilight's "Supermassive Black Hole," New Moon's "I Belong to You," and Eclipse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)"). Muse is also nominated.

The Grammys will be shown February 13th at 8:00 p.m. on CBS. As a reminder, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's soundtrack is nominated for a Grammy for "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media." Other Twilight soundtrack artists which are nominated include Florence + the Machine, The Black Keys, Paramore, Band of Horses, and Vampire Weekend.
Finally, Florence + The Machine ("Heavy in Your Arms" from the Eclipse soundtrack) has been announced as a presenter for this year's Academy Awards ceremony. Note that Alexandre Desplat, composer for the New Moon score, is nominated for Best Original Score for his work on The King's Speech. The Oscars air on February 27th.

British singer-songwriter-guitarist Bobby Long has signed a recording agreement with New York-based independent label ATO Records. Long's debut is set for release on February 1, 2011. The album, entitled A WINTER TALE, is a collection of 11 original songs from a repertoire deeply rooted in American folk, blues and country music. The recording is produced by Liam Watson, Grammy® winner for his engineering work on Elephant by The White Stripes, at his analog Toe Rag Studios in London.
Since he began performing in North America in April of 2009, Long has logged more than 150 shows (including sold-out appearances in major U.S. cities, Canada and Europe), winning over audiences with his gritty, passionate performances. His haunting vocals, intricately woven lyrics and intriguing guitar work, not to mention his charming tall tales, have helped to cultivate a devoted fan base that has filled rooms night after night. This year's tour schedule has also included several high-profile festival appearances, among them the Mile High Festival in Denver and the XPoNential Festival sponsored by Philadelphia's WXPN Radio, an early champion of Long's moving, personal songs. As one critic wrote on blogcritics.com: "With raw vocal power and smart, evocative lyrics, Long is a folksinger with a spirited intensity that puts him outside and above the masses of singer-songwriters roaming our cities, towns, and social networks."
