Stephenie Meyer Commends Twilight Fans For Supporting the Haiti Relief

Hey everyone! Guess what? Stephenie Meyer Commends twi fans for supporting haiti!

Stephenie Meyer, author to our beloved Twilight Saga, commented on her official websiteStephenieMeyer.com about the support and love from the Twilight fans and fansites on helping the relief efforts in Haiti.

"- I’ve been very impressed with the world in general and the Twilight fansites in specific in the support and love everyone is giving Haiti. It’s amazing to see how Twilight fans have come together to help. You are wonderful people. At this point, I think it’s important for all of us to remember that the situation in Haiti is not going to be cured overnight, so… keep up the good work, and let’s all keep the Haitians in our thoughts and prayers.

Stephenie also posted some new reccomendations.

"- A new book recommendation: I recently read and adored The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. It was one of those books that feel absolutely perfect and satisfying, and when you finish it you sit around wishing that you could find another book just like it.

"- I realized that there was an egregious oversight on my music recommendation page. How have I never listed Metric? That’s crazy. Anyway, Fantasies was one of the best albums of 2009.

"- Finally, a movie recommendation: Dear John comes out Friday the fifth of February. Thanks to my cool friend Wyck (who many of you have seen in various Twilight Saga interviews, as he is one of the producers on our movies, and who is a producer on Dear John) I got to see this one early. I will confess, I cried. Also, I discovered Channing Tatum, who I’ve somehow missed until now. Likey. Lots. Amanda Seyfried is entrancing as always, and the chemistry (chemistry is always the crux of a movie for me) between them is lovely. Though the chemistry between Channing Tatum and Richard Jenkins (who plays his father) was my favorite part.

Stephenie is absolutely right about the Haiti situation.  It’s not going to happen overnight.   So, please continue supporting the relief efforts in Haiti.  You can still donate at HopeForHaitiNow.org .

If you want to hold onto the performances, you’ll be able to pre-order and purchase the songs you heard on the telethon at the iTunes® store. The “Hope for Haiti Now” album ($7.99) and two-hour video telecast ($1.99) are also available for pre-order. Apple, the record labels and artists are all donating their proceeds to “Hope for Haiti Now.” .

The funds raised by “Hope for Haiti Now” will benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF, United Nations World Food Program, Yele Haiti Foundation, and the Clinton Bush Haiti Foundation.

Kristen Stewart Sells Herself for Haiti. No, Not Like That.

Celebuzz posted this entry about Kristen's involvement for Haiti. Happy reading! (via @celebuzz) While pretty much all of Hollywood pitched in for earthquake-ravaged Haiti at last Friday's telethon, Kristen Stewart—who couldn't attend due to this weekend's Sundance Film Festival—took a different approach to providing desperately needed help: She raffled off her own presence.

According to Scott Bloom, producer of K-Stew's new movie Welcome to the Rileys—which had its premiere at the Park City, Utah, festival this weekend—Stewart "[was upset] she could not be doing the telethon," so she decided to host four women at the festival, with the proceeds going toward earthquake relief.

The cost of hanging out with K-Stew, airfare and accommodations included? "They paid, like, a thousand dollars a piece for tickets which went to support the cause for Haiti," adds Rileys co-producer Giovanni Agnelli. Sounds like a bargain.

Hey Twilighters, GossipCop juz confirmed that Taylor won't be joinin "Hope for Haiti". Check out the news! -Liana- (via @GossipCop)

Some days you have good news to share, some days you don’t. Today, unfortunately we are the bearers of bad news. According to Taylor Lautner’s rep, the “New Moon” heartthrob will not be participating in the “Hope for Haiti” telethon. But something that should be music to your ears is the long list of musicians who will be performing during the two-hour fundraiser, which is being aired on every major network and numerous other cable outfits.
In New York, where Haiti native Wyclef Jean will host the show, there will be performances by Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Sting, and Jean himself. Co-host George Clooney will be in Los Angeles, where Taylor Swift, Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Christina Aguilera, Keith Urban, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and Justin Timberlake are slated to perform. And Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, Rihanna and Coldplay will hit the stage in London, where Robert Pattinson will lend a helping hand as well. The music will be available, beginning Saturday, on iTunes and all the proceeds will go to the charities benefiting from the telethon, including the Red Cross, UNICEF, Oxfam, Partners in Health, and Wyclef’s Yele Haiti Foundation. Additionally, the event will feature dozens and dozens of big stars manning the phones, and Anderson Coooper reporting from Haiti.

Yesss yess!!! As i said days ago, im posting every Haiti related news with excitement! Rob Signs in for Haiti Teletho n!!!! You go Robbie!!
Arwad =)

Marc Malkin from E! News Online reported that Robert Pattinson is on board for the Hait Telethon.
Robert Pattinson is on board. I just got word that the Twilightstar has signed on for Friday’sHope for Haiti telethon. As of right now, it looks like Rob will be the sole presenter in London with performances by Jay-Z and Bono.
Stateside performers—some announced and others not—will include: Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and Bruce Springsteen are among those who will perform live during the two-hour benefit, which will air on all the major television networks (including our very own E!). Other mega-celebs who will present and/or help in the phone banks are Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Brad Pitt, Anna Kendrick, Sandra Bullock, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Renée Zellweger, Chris Pine, Courteney Cox,David Arquette, Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm, Gabby Sidibe and Emily Blunt, among many others. No word yet on Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, but as I was the first to tell you Hollywood’s hottest vampire movie trio is a very wanted group for the telethonbecause of the impact they would have with young people.
Also on organizers’ wish list are—no surprise—Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie.
Clooney is set to host from Los Angeles with Wyclef John in New York City and CNN newsman Anderson Cooper in Haiti.
