Check out this article by Hityflix and why they think the Breaking Dawn films are being spilt and released so far apart. Thanks to Cullens News for the tip! Source Via @cullensnewscom.
After releasing both “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” in November of 2008 and 2009, Summit made the seemingly smart move of moving “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” to a June 30, 2010 release date. This was because of both fervent interest from the franchise’s fanbase and the expectation that opening in the summer would allow for a larger gross due to the fact many teenagers would be out of school and able to see the film numerous times during the work week. Instead, “Eclipse” has grossed less than the previous chapter, “New Moon,” with only $288.1 million domestic and a total of $644.8 million worldwide so far. “New Moon” ended up with $296 million domestic and $709 million worldwide and it’s hard to see “Eclipse” matching that total as its grosses have slowed considerably.

If you could liken being a part of the Twilight series film cast to anything, it'd probably have to be some kind of ride, right?
Well, in a new interview with HitFix's Gregory Ellwood, Billy Burke ("Charlie Swan" in the Twilight series) talked about that very thing.
"It’s been a great gig for me.  Let’s face it.  I’ve been hanging around in this biz for 19 years now, and the advent of those movies has certainly shed a different light on where I’m at, and has pushed it into a different place.  So I got nothing but love and respect for those movies, and for that character and for all the people who make the movies. For me, it’s kind of like showing up on a television show set, because I go back every time and kind of put the same clothes on and get into the same groove, and it’s very comfortable," he said of the Twilight series films.
Burke also weighed in on the studio's decision to split filming locations for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn between Lousiana and Vancouver, saying "We’re going to do some exteriors in Vancouver, and I hear they’re thinking about Louisiana for some stage stuff."
Burke went on to talk about his newest project, Drive Angry 3D (also distributed by Summit Entertainment), revealing that his character is one tough cookie. "He’s got a vision and he feels right.  And there’s nothing…As one of the lines in the movie says, 'there’s nothing more dangerous than a righteous man with an idea,'" he explained.
Drive Angry 3D comes out on February 11, 2011.

HitFix.com : The Ten Biggest Summer Movies of 2010

Hey Everyone,
Fresh News! HitFix has a list of the Ten Biggest Summer Movies of 2010!
Wanna see if Eclipse is in it? Read the following extract!

Thanks @HitFixGregory for the Tip!

Will Woody, Jacob or Tony Stark come out on top?

At the beginning of the summer movie season you can make a case that every picture has a chance to be a hit or, at the very least, a profitable performer.  Unfortunately, that's never quite the case.  Theatrical distribution is as much game of strategy and marketing as it is about the quality of a picture and in that scenario there will always be winners and, boy, will there be losers.  2010 is no different.

Looking over this upcoming season, many of the hits are easy to spot.  "Iron Man 2," "Toy Story 3," "Sex and the City 2"?  Easy dough.  It's when you look more carefully at the release schedule that the toss ups come into play.  Is "Get Him to the Greek" another Judd Apatow-produced sleeper hit?  Can Katherine Heigl go four-for-four with "Killers"?  Is "The Last Airbender" the launch of a powerful new franchise for Paramount?  Can Jake Gyllenhaal become a real action star and break the video game movie jinx in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time"?  The answer may be "yes" across the board, but that doesn't mean those films or others will make the list of top ten grossing movies of the season.  That's for the true high rollers and much harder to determine.  Maybe.

3. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Opening Day: June 30
Pros: Arguably the most passionate franchise fanbase of this era and the most action packed of all the films which means guys might not have to be dragged by their significant others after being bored through "New Moon."  "Eclipse" is also the first installment in IMAX (higher ticket prices factor in) and to be released in the teen-friendly summer season.
Cons: The "backlash" is over, but are the fans still as excited as they were for the first two films?
Projected Box Office: $330 million
Lowdown:
$300 million is guaranteed, but it "should" do much more than that
