Warners postponed the release of 'The Apparition'

Warner Bros. Pictures has pulled The Apparition, the Todd Lincoln-directed ghost story that stars Ashley Greene (Twilight), Sebastian Stan (Black Swan, The Covenent), Luke Pasqualino, Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th, Altitude), and Tom Felton (Rise of the Apes, 13 HRS, The Disappeared), from its 2011 release slate. Following couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment, the movie has been shifted to an undetermined 2012 date. There's no story behind the shift other than a game of Tetris.

"When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force..."

Getting down to business, Ashley Greene was spotted on the set of her new movie “Apparition” in Palmdale, California yesterday (March 25) The “New Moon” babe looked lovely as she made her way around the lot, sporting a big beige coat with blue pants and tan suede UGG boots. As for the upcoming “Breaking Dawn” flick, Ashley told press she’d love to see it split into a double finale. "I wouldn't mind seeing it split up because the book is huge, and there's so much that's involved, and there are so many different kinds of intertwining stories. The problem with changing books into film is that you don't have time to tell this intricate story that you do in 700 pages of a book. I don't think it could hurt."

As previously posted, we told you about Ashley Greene’s new project ‘Apparition’. Greene who is famous for playing the role of everyone’s favorite little sister Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga, says: ‘I’ve done things, I didn’t know I could do”.

The apparition in question is an evil force, unleashed by a university experiment, that haunts a young couple. Greene said the film will deliver the scares that have been missing from recent horror movies. “With Apparition, they’re going back to doing elevated thriller,” Greene said in an exclusive interview on March 16 in Austin, Texas, where her film Skateland played at the South by Southwest film festival. “It’s not going to be that slash-gore movie. It’s that thing that just scares you to the core, and it’s terrifying.”

Still not convinced? Well, consider that in most horror movies you can yell at the screen “Don’t go in there” and the characters won’t listen to you. You might not be scared for people making bad decisions. Greene promises that her character in The Apparition makes the right choices but gets screwed anyway.

“The way that I can best explain it is that we do everything that a normal person would do,” Green said. “Everyone is going to watch it and say, ‘Do this!’ And that’s what we’re going to do. Unfortunately, it doesn’t solve things, and we’re still having to deal with them. I think that’s the scariest part, is when you do everything that you should do and you still end up ruined.”
