Robert Pattinson Cast in “Unbound Captives”

It’s been confirmed that Robert Pattinson has been cast along with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz to star in the film “Unbound Captives.”  It’s a dramatic western written by Madeleine Stowe and scheduled to start filming sometime next year.  

A San Antonio report says:

While at the ranch, Stowe came up with the idea to write “a large romantic  Western” that was inspired, she said, by stories of the Hill Country in the late  1800s. “I heard about children who were abducted by Comanche Indians and became  so acculturated that they had a hard time returning.

We are assuming that as a western this will mean Rob will try his hand, or voice rather, at a southern accent!  Leave us a comment on how you think Rob will do with such a different and new type of role.

"Our ranch had a real history," she added. "When I lived there, I felt a certain way about Texas that I hadn't seen filmed yet."

She'll start directing The Unbound Captives next year, she said, and already has rounded up the main cast: Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson.

Robert Pattison: Bel Ami is about a character called Georges Duroy who is a broke ex soldier in Paris in 1890. He has no drive. He’s just jealous of everything. He’s completely talentless. The only thing he does is, by accident he finds this guy in the army with a brothel and this other guy want’s to impress him so he gives him money and buys him a round and it ends up being like he’s invited the Devil into his house. He seduces his wife. He seduces all his wife’s friends. Every single influential woman he can get, he has an affair with and it ends up screwing over the entire society.

Robert Pattison: Water for Elephants is a story about a guy in 1931 whose parents both die in a car crash when he’s at Cornell University studying veterinarian science. He jumps on a train out of desperation to find something else and it ends up being this circus train. He ends up falling in love with the star attraction who’s also the wife of the ring master and all the chaos that ensues after that.

Robert Pattison: Unbound Captives: It’s a Western. It’s a sort of romantic, drama, western. My character is the son of Rachel Weisz. He get’s kidnapped by Comanches when he’s four and is raised by them. And my mother spends like 15 years or something trying to find me and when she finds me and I come back I can’t speak English anymore. I don’t recognize her and she doesn’t recognize me and I have kind of massive ADD in it as well.

Robert Pattinson: I found out about Breaking Dawn being two films when the press release came out (laughs). Bill Condon, I met briefly a few weeks ago kind of by accident just before the MTV Awards in a bar. He seemed great. He seemed like a really, really nice guy. I haven’t talked to him in detail about anything but Gods and Monsters, that was an amazing movie. I think it’s going to be good. I don’t even know where we’re going to shoot it yet or anything.

An inter­view with Nicola Peltz on People.com gen­er­ated a lot of inter­est today when it was revealed the actress, who stars in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Air­ben­der, not only worked with Twilight-er Jack­son Rath­bone on the film, but will also be co-starring with Robert Pat­tin­son in the near future.

A quick look at IMDB left fans guess­ing, since it doesn’t list any of Pattinson’s known upcom­ing projects among the 15-year-old actress’ plans.

Well, Gos­sip Cop solved the mystery.

A source close to Peltz tells Gos­sip Cop she’s been cast in Unbound Captives.

We hear great things about the young actress, which should only make antic­i­pa­tion even higher for the Pat­tin­son flick.

Wondering around in the twitterverse I came across some interesting news about Robert Pattinson's 2010 filming projects, which depending on schedule for each shoot it may include Bel Ami,Unbound Captivities, and (wait for iiiiiiiiiiiiit..........) Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn.
"I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year," Pattinson said, adding that Summit "may well change that."
"Depending on how things go I'm doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, which is an adaptation of a Guy de Maupassant novel," he continued. "And I'm doing, I hope, a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well.
He described his role in Unbound Captives, which coincidentally will bring Pattinson in close contact again with Native American culture – not Quileute, but Comanche. "I'm playing a kid who is kidnapped by Comanches when he was four years old, and he is brought up by them. His mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister. When she finds us, we can't remember who she is and can't remember anything about the Western culture she grew up in. I speak Comanche the whole movie. You can't really speak more differently from Edward."
