Rumor Control: No Twilight Video Game In the Works

Share Your Thoughts (0)

Hey Everyone,
As it seems there was a rumour about a Twilight Video Game. Our Elite Affie Twilight Lexicon reports!

Yes, we know that Bronson Pelletier at a red carpet event talked about being in a motion capture suit and that he thought it was for a video game. Turns out he was wrong. Summit Entertainment has confirmed for us that, “There is no video game featuring the world of THE TWILIGHT SAGA currently in development.”
We are guessing that the motion capture suit was for CGI for the actual film rather than a video game.
This didn’t surprise us too much in that there haven’t been games for the previous movies and traditionally female-driven fandoms tend not to get video games. The largest gaming element is male teens-30′s, and since that isn’t exactly the Twilight demographic, games are unlikely.

Edward & Bella V. Hermione & Ron — Which Significant Kiss Are You More Excited To See?

Share Your Thoughts (0)

Tweet This | Share on FaceBook

We have two very exciting smooches coming up in both ‘Breaking Dawn’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ when Edward and Bella first kiss as husband and wife and when besties Hermione and Ron lock lips for the first time — which is more exciting?

You know that feeling you get when you’re watching a movie and the two main characters are inching forward towards their first kiss and you get butterflies in anticipation of how — hopefully — exciting their chemistry will be? Well that feeling is on steroids when you’ve been waiting for that kiss for months, or even years, ahead of the movie since you’ve already read the books! Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan’s (Kristen Stewart) first kiss as husband and wife will be epic when Breaking Dawn: Part 1 airs in November. Just as legendary? When Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) have their very first kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which hits theaters on July 15!

Bella and Edward have endured a lot in their relationship, and we can’t wait to see them married. Their first kiss after they say “I do” is definitely monumental, but it’s up to you to decide whether or not it should be more or less anticipated than Hermione and Ron’s first kiss. The Harry Potter pair have been best friends, along with Harry, ever since they first came to Hogwarts. That first kiss could (and does) change everything!

Bellatrix Lestrange: Helena Bonham Carter completely losses herself in this sadistic witch. Bellatrix is Voldemort's most devoted follower and has no problem killing anyone who gets her master's way. Michael Copon reveals he was almost 'Jacob' for the 'Twilight' series

Over time, several could-have-been contenders for main character roles in the Twilight Saga have come forth - from Shiloh Fernandez as Edward to Emily Browning as Bella, or James Franco for really any part in Breaking Dawn.

According to the Manila Bulletin, an actor named Michael Copon has explained that he almost became "Jacob Black" for the Twilight series, a role which eventually went to Taylor Lautner.
“Yeah, originally the first director was fired and then there was confusion if I still had the role because they were talks about keeping the same cast . . . Taylor and I had the same agent then" . . .
[H]e didn’t even have to audition for it as the script was handed to him by his agent for approval. Upon reading it, he knew instantly that he likes to be part of a movie about vampires and werewolves; adding that he was interested in playing the older Jacob Black.
“That’s because I’m tall at 6’2---taller than Taylor---so that kinda made sense,” Copon said of the predilection.

'Red Riding Hood': How is it like 'Twilight'? Let us count the ways.

Thanks to Twilightish for the tip!
via @Twilightish via Source

Red Hiding Hood (in theaters now), is an updated fairy tale about a young woman named Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) who is caught between two suitors — idealistic Henry (Max Irons) and bad-boy Peter (Shiloh Fernandez) — in a town besieged by a blood-thirsty werewolf. It doesn’t have a single vampire. There’s no high-school-is-hell subplot. And Hood is set in an old-timey village that looks like it was probably fossil-fodder by the time Twilight‘s Bella (Kristen Stewart) was born. And yet, it’s hard to watch Red Riding Hood without having an odd feeling of Twilight déjà vu. Can’t put your finger on the cause? Let’s break down the similarities:

1. They’re both directed by Catherine Hardwicke. But that’s a gimme, so moving on…

2. Werewolf alert. Still too easy. Next!

3. Lines like “One bite… and you’ll be like me.” This is getting ridiculous. Let’s try to think of a hard one now. Like, how about…
4. Identical dads. How’s this for a weird coincidence: The guys who play Valerie and Bella’s dads might as well be cousins they look so much alike. Crazy, right? Wait, hang on a sec. They actually are both played by the exact same actor? Come on. This isn’t even fun now.

5. Gloomy, woodsy town. Okay, here’s a good one: Hood takes place in a forested, gray-skied village that might as well be a medieval version of Twilight‘s Forks, Washington.

Twilight Soundtrack DVD Goes Gold

Hi Everyone,

Gold for the Twilight Soundtrack DVD. Thanks to our Elite Affie Twilight Lexicon For The Tip! Enjoy!

Via @Twilightlexicon From Home Media Magazine

Lexicon wrote this about it:

According to Home Media Magazine:

“Nowadays Steve Nickerson, Summit Entertainment’s president of home entertainment, isn’t surprised by how well anything Twilight does at retail.
So when the Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA, announced this month that the combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of Music Videos and Performances from The Twilight Saga Soundtracks Vol. 1 had reached RIAA-certified gold status Nickerson was more pleased than surprised.
“It’s a little bit of a unique project we developed with Atlantic [Records], and we’re happy with the consumer reaction to it,” he said. “Each of the three individual soundtracks did more than well, and while any of the videos may be available through the individual artists, to put them all together in a product was a unique opportunity.”

You can order the Soundtrack videos via Amazon.

Lawsuit Filed By Literary Scout Who Obtained Twilight

Share Your Thoughts (0)

Tweet This | Share on FaceBook

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

“A woman who claims credit for discovering Twilight as a potential feature film is demanding payment for her role in helping launch one of Hollywood’s biggest movie franchises.

Nanette Shipley says in a lawsuit filed Thursday [sic]in Los Angeles Superior Court that she was “a literary scout,” whose job was to find potential feature films for Maverick Films. Shipley claims enormous success, helping Maverick find and obtain the rights for two motion pictures, Twilight and The Lighting Thief. She says her complaint against Marverick and topper Mark Morgan that she was promised $75,000 for her work in connection with Twilight and $100,000 for her work in connection with The Lighting Thief.

She says she’s only been paid $20,000 and wants the outstanding $155,000 plus legal costs.”

See more on THR.

It should be noted that this lawsuit is filed against Maverick Films which is now known as Imprint Films. It is not part of Summit Entertainment. In layman’s terms Summit is an umbrella group working with other groups such as Imprint and others such as Wyck Godfrey’s Temple Hill Entertainment to pull off the Twilight movies. In a way think of it like a construction firm that hires a bunch a subcontractors. The head of the construction management isn’t involved if one of the subcontracted electricians is claiming his paycheck doesn’t reflect the right overtime, he has to deal with his boss, not the guy that his boss is then doing business with.

At the time of this article we couldn’t locate an official website for the company, just their facebook page. The description of their company reads:

“Imprint Entertainment, which is based on the Universal Studios Lot in Burbank, California, was founded by Michael Becker and Mark Morgan in 2008. The company is a full service film / television production and management company.

Imprint Entertainment has over two-dozen projects currently in development, pre-production and production. The Company’s most recent films Twilight, and Twilight Saga: New Moon, based on the best-selling novel by the same names for Summit Entertainment, was released in November 2008 and November 2009, respectively. The company also produced The Stepfather for Sony Screen Gems and Hit and Run for MGM, and is in post-production on the independent film Slightly Single in LA.

Imprint Entertainment’s management division currently represents a range of clients for film and television, which include platinum selling music artist Soulja Boy, as well as the newly signed Slip N Slide artist and actress Drew Sidora. Imprint also represents top music video director Dale “Rage” Resteghini and film and television writers Reed Steiner, Dyan Traynor, Joany Kane, Jay White, James Bird among many others.”

'Twilight' kiss is one of cinema's '10 most iconic'

Share Your Thoughts (0)

Tweet This | Share on FaceBook

Once again, the epic first kiss between Bella and Edward (Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson) in Twilight is being recognized for its iconic status in film history.

Thanks to our elite affiliate Twilight Examiner for the tip!
via @TwiExaminer via @Twilight via CNN.com

CNN and InStyle.com collaborated to create their list of the "10 most iconic movie kisses" and, naturally, Twilight was one of them.

Even the most diehard members of Team Jacob can't deny the romantic power of Bella and Edward's first kiss. Kristen Stewart -- who's almost uniformly closemouthed about her off-screen relationship with costar Robert Pattinson -- did offer "I get to kiss Edward Cullen," when asked to name a few of her favorite things about the gig.

Other films making the cut include Gone With The Wind, Lady And The Tramp, Breakfast At Tiffany's, When Harry Met Sally, Pretty Woman, Ghost, Titanic, Spiderman, and Slumdog Millionaire. Hard to argue with that list, isn't it?

This isn't the first time the Twilight kiss has gotten acclaim. It was also chosen by the Los Angeles Times as one of the top "50 Classic Movie Kisses" and scored Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart a win at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Here is the Iconic Kiss itself
