Robert Pattinson Takes Off Shirt For Japan Relief
Not that taking off his shirt just to take off his shirt isn't reason enough, but Robert Pattinson is donating the proceeds from an auctioned-off autographed T-shirt to a good cause.
RPattz is the latest celeb to join the slew of stars doing their part for Japanese tsunami relief. The shirt will be auctioned off through the Yoshiki Foundation. His "Water For Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon also donated a signed T to the foundation.
For those unfamiliar with the Yoshiki Foundation, it was started by Yoshiki, a member of the Japanese rock band X Japan. He started the foundation in 2010 to give back to the community.
Other famous faces helping the foundation include James Franco, who like Rob and Reese also signed a T-shirt, and comic legend Stan Lee, who autographed several books for the cause. A Red Hot Chili Peppers MTV EMA and a set of front row tickets to a taping of "Chelsea Lately" are also up for grabs. All proceeds will go to YFA Japan Earthquake Relief Auction.
We have to say we're excited by the prospect of owning a shirt touched by Robert Pattinson. And if it means we get to help out a good cause, then don't we all win?
For more information on what you can do to help with earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan head to MTV Act, or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

However, before you all get too excited, bidding for the Twilight heartthrob currently stands at a whopping $30,000!
According to Marie Claire, the next bid to meet and greet R-Pattz is likely to set you back a cool $32,500, but for that price, the lucky winner will get to hang-out with the hunky actor on the set of the next Twilight flick, Breaking Dawn.

Tinsel Korey Supports One Warm Kid Campaign
Thanks to our Elite Affiliate Twi Lexicon for the tip! Source Via @twilightlexicon.

According to the campaign’s press release:
P.S. from Aeropostale, a mall-based specialty retailer of casual and active apparel for young women and men, today announced that it has partnered with nonprofit One Warm Coat to create its first annual ‘1 Warm Kid‘ campaign, a coat drive for kids that will run from October 11, 2010 through October 31, 2010 at P.S. from Aeropostale locations across the country. In support of the campaign, P.S. from Aeropostale will match every donated coat with a brand new coat up to 100,000.
’1 Warm Kid’ aims to raise awareness of the growing numbers of families living in poverty and to collect as many coats as possible, all of which will be donated to local agencies where they will be distributed to families in need this winter. A growing list of celebrities are lending their support to the campaign and encouraging others to participate. Those who donate will have the chance to win signed coats from Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Cole and Dylan Sprouse (“Suite Life on Deck”), Debby Ryan (“Suite Life on Deck”). Jennette McCurdy (“iCarly”), Devid Henrie (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), David Del Rio (“The Troop”), Tinsel Korey (“Twilight”), and more.
“1 in 5 kids live in poverty. It’s startling to learn of how many families struggle to have the basic necessities, such as a coat,” said Scott Birnbaum, Senior Vice President of Marketing of Aeropostale, Inc. ”1 Warm Kid will provide warmth to many families this winter and shed light on this growing epidemic.”
A driving force behind the success of ’1 Warm Kid’ is P.S. from Aeropostale’s relationship with the schools in its local communities. Through their partnership with One Warm Coat, more than 1600 schools were invited to participate in the coat drive. To activate students and entice school participation, P.S. from Aeropostale is awarding prizes to the top three schools that collect the most coats. First prize school will win $5,000 and a party in their school. The second and third place schools will win $3,000 and $1,000, respectively.
“We are excited to have the support and encouragement from schools across the country,” said One Warm Coat President Sherri Lewis Wood. ”We know school kids can be a powerful force in community service. 1 Warm Kid provides them with an opportunity that is easy to implement and will have an immediate impact in their own community.”
In addition to the schools organizing drives, P.S. from Aeropostale welcomes individual donations as well. As an extra incentive for anyone who donates, P.S. from Aeropostale will give 25% off your next purchase, though no purchase is necessary.

'Twilight' star Peter Facinelli auctioning off lunch date for charity
Shall I get a loan, remortgage? What you reckon. LOL ♥ Thanks to TwiExaminer for the tip! Source Via @twiexaminer.

By now, every Twilight fan has come to know, quite well, that Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen" in the Twilight series films) is a charitable guy. He goes to great lengths to help others, and the newest development is no exception to that tradition.
Peter Facinelli announced on his Twitter page yesterday that he's "pimping" himself out for a lunch date, and it is - of course - for charity.
According to eBay, which currently lists the auction at $2,025 with ten bids already submitted, the lunch date was donated by Peter Facinelli to The Onyx & Breezy Foundation, an animal welfare group, and it will be a lunch in New York City for two that takes place sometime between October and December of this year.
Facinelli is a very fan-friendly actor, and a lunch date with him would no doubt be a day to remember.
You can read more about this opportunity and bid here.

Twilighters Mobilizing For Hatian Disaster Relief
ATTENTION TWILIGHTERS!!!
twilightlexicon.com has this info on how to help the Hatian People!!
Rafaela :)
via @TwilightLexicon
Actors such as Chaske Spencer have tweeted about donating money is as simple as sending a text message.
The Thinking of Rob Blog is currently leading the charge. They have an excellent detailing of what is needed and how you can help.
From our experience in the Harry Potter Fandom, it’s a great thing when sites can come together and raise money for a humanitarian cause. The Harry Potter fandom did this for both the Boxing Day Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. Tens of thousands of dollars were raised.
Please vistit that Thinking of Rob blog and help anyway you can. The images coming out of Haiti are gruesome to say the least.
What’s even more crucial is that the need is going to be there months from now. We are going to be putting together a Twilight themed basket to auction off for this cause, proceeds to the Red Cross.

Buy a Guitar Autographed by Robert Pattinson & help charity
Hey Everyone,
Our Elite Affiliates Bella's Diary made this really interesting entry...
It is important to see it...because if for Charity...We can help people...
If you want to help just bid!

Two great things teamed up - Robert Pattinson and charity! Here is your chance to help out and receive a guitar signed by Robert Pattinson himself. Here are the auction details:
Brand
new Fender Telecaster signed by ultra hot Robert Pattinson (Edward
Cullen) from the Twilight movie series. Rob happened to be shopping for
instruments at Norm’s Rare Guitars and Norm (a great friend of The
Midnight Mission), asked him if he’d sign a guitar that could be
auctioned off to support the services of the charity. Rob was gracious
enough to say yes and do it. This terrifically talented actor and
singer/musician even consented to have his picture taken with the
signed instrument. I didn’t post it here, but have it available for
authentication (believe it or not this humble actor is a bit camera shy
when not at work). Get this now!! I have seen tons of signed pictures
and posters, but not a Fender guitar. And as you real fans know, Robert
is an excellent musician - he plays piano, guitar and sings! So it’s a
winner - a great and unique gift for you or someone you love and you
help people who don’t always feel loved.
Bid on this auction here and if you just want to donate to the charity, you can do that here.
